Lila is very excited to be back teaching for the 2026-2027 dance season! As a student teacher, she is passionate to inspire young dancers to learn & grow in an active, fun environment with a foundation of dance technique while providing inclusive spaces supporting each dancer’s needs.

Lila has a dance & gymnastics background where she began both at a young age. She enjoyed exploring ballet, jazz, tap, recreation gymnastics, then participated as a dancer in local theatre productions & choreographed dances for a dance club. Lila continued her dance training joining MDA’s Royal Academy of Dance ballet exam classes aswell as acro, pointe, lyrical, contemporary & commercial dance. To further her development, Lila completed RAD ballet exams including at the vocational level, participated in an acro intensive at Performance Dance Academy (PDA) in Guelph & more recently, advanced contemporary/modern summer dance classes at Owen Sound Dance Academy. Lila has received awards & high marks for her dance performances at area festivals including a Bruce Power Scholarship Adjudicator Award for her Open class solo (a blend of contemporary, acro & lyrical) at the South Western Ontario Rotary Music Festival.

In 2025, Lila pursued growth in dance instruction & leadership skills as part of a high school co-operative learning course. Her placements included summer dance at MDA & assisting at an acro dance camp at PDA as well as a leader for Camp Spark, a local performing arts/theatre program of Studio410. Over the past year at MDA, Lila has taught various classes, choreographed many dances for showcases & festivals, & planned & instructed MDA’s dance camps!

When she’s not in the studio, Lila is a NCCP certified gymnastics coach (to advanced rec/comp 1 Gymnastics Canada level), enjoys participating in various sports, & spends time with family, friends & her bunnies Lacy & Daisy.
